Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026. These terms cover your use of Qordway.

Who we are, and what you're agreeing to

Qordway is a QR code generator operated by LVSoftworks LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

We've tried to write these in plain language. Where a term has a real consequence for you, particularly around dynamic QR codes and cancellation, we've said so directly rather than burying it.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're using Qordway on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for them.

You don't need an account to generate and download QR codes.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication, which is available on every plan at no cost.

Give us an email address you can actually receive mail at. Account verification and password resets go there, and if you can't receive our email you may lose access to your account, because email is currently the only recovery route.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account page. Deletion removes your saved codes and profile, and stops every dynamic QR code on the account from redirecting. See the section below before you do this.

Static codes are yours. Permanently.

A static QR code contains your data directly. It is generated entirely in your browser, we never receive it, and once you've downloaded the file it works forever without any dependency on us. If we vanished tomorrow, every static code you've made would keep working.

You own the codes you generate and may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercially and in products you sell. We claim no rights over them, we don't watermark them on any plan, and we don't require attribution.

Dynamic codes depend on this service continuing to run

This is the most important term on this page, so it gets its own section.

A dynamic QR code does not contain your destination. It contains a short link on our domain, and scanning it asks our servers where to go. That's what lets you change the destination after the code is printed, and it means the printed code only works for as long as the redirect behind it does.

A dynamic code will stop redirecting if:

  • you delete the code, or delete your account;
  • a free-plan code reaches its 500-scan allowance;
  • your paid plan lapses and the code exceeds what your plan then allows;
  • we suspend the account under the acceptable use section below;
  • we discontinue the service (see Changes and discontinuation).

You cannot recall printed material. Please think carefully about this before committing a dynamic code to anything expensive to reprint, and consider a static code where the destination will never need to change. Our guide to static versus dynamic covers the trade-off honestly, including the parts that argue against paying us.

Plans, billing, and renewal

The pricing page lists current plans and what each includes. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

Prices may change. If we change the price of a plan you're on, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect, and the change will only apply from your next renewal, never mid-period. You can cancel before then if you don't want to continue.

Taxes may be added depending on where you are.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not end your current period. You keep paid features until the period you've already paid for runs out, and you won't be charged again.

Refunds: if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment on a new subscription, contact us and we'll refund it in full. After that, payments are non-refundable, and canceling part-way through a period does not produce a partial refund; you simply keep access until the period ends.

If something is genuinely broken on our end and we can't fix it, get in touch. We'd rather sort it out than argue about a policy.

What happens to your codes when a paid plan ends: your account reverts to the free Basic plan. Static codes are unaffected. Saved codes above the Basic limit remain in your library but you won't be able to add more until you're back under it. Dynamic codes above what Basic allows will stop redirecting. Nothing is deleted automatically.

The free plan

The Basic plan is free and supported by advertising. It includes real functionality rather than a trial, dynamic QR codes included, but with limits published on the pricing page, currently 25 saved codes and 2 dynamic codes capped at 500 scans each.

We may change what the free plan includes. If we reduce it, we'll give existing free accounts notice by email first.

Acceptable use

Dynamic codes point at destinations we don't control, so this section matters more than it might elsewhere. You must not use Qordway to link to, host, or distribute:

  • phishing pages, credential harvesting, or anything impersonating another person or organization;
  • malware, or anything that attempts to compromise a scanner's device;
  • content that is illegal where you or your audience are;
  • content that infringes someone else's intellectual property;
  • material sexualizing minors, or content promoting violence or harassment.

You also must not attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent plan limits or rate limits, resell access to the API, or use automated means to create accounts.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, and we may do so without notice where the breach is serious or ongoing. Codes on a suspended account stop redirecting immediately.

If you believe a code on our domain is being used abusively, please report it. We take domain abuse seriously: a link shortener that becomes a phishing vector is worthless to its legitimate users.

Your content

Anything you save to your library, whether destination links, code names or styles, stays yours. We store it only to provide the service to you, and we don't sell it or use it to build advertising profiles. The privacy policy covers what we hold and for how long.

You grant us only the permission needed to actually run the service: to store your saved codes, to resolve your dynamic codes when someone scans them, and to record the scan analytics described in the privacy policy.

The API

Paid plans include API access with published rate limits. Keys are personal to your account, so don't share them, and revoke a key immediately if you think it's been exposed. You're responsible for activity carried out with your keys.

We may change or deprecate API endpoints. Where a change would break existing integrations, we'll give reasonable notice by email.

Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we don't offer a guaranteed uptime commitment, and the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Planned maintenance, outages at our infrastructure providers, and faults can all interrupt it.

This matters most for dynamic codes: if our redirect is down, affected printed codes won't resolve for the duration. Static codes are unaffected by anything that happens to us.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost business, or the cost of reprinting physical material, arising from your use of the service or from a dynamic code failing to resolve.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against us because of what you linked to, distributed, or did through your account, you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.

Changes and discontinuation

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll notify account holders by email and update the date at the top of this page before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give account holders at least 90 days' notice by email so there's time to export saved codes and replace anything printed with a dynamic code. We can't promise the business will exist forever, but we can promise not to disappear overnight.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may terminate an account for a breach of the acceptable use section, or for non-payment. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as ownership, liability and indemnity, do.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, and the state and federal courts located in Pennsylvania have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Contact

Questions about these terms, refund requests, and abuse reports can all go through our contact form.
